Brief 11: Secret 7

Development

Sourcing relevant images with the concept i have created. From the concept i started to think about being free, this then led me to being as 'free as a bird', which i think fits really well with my concept, so some of the images i looked for were birds flying. 

I like the image below, i think it works well , it is quite peaceful and they seem very 'free', unlike the one above where the birds are too compact and its not very peaceful.  

I then looked at images like the one below which again show peaceful scenes. 

I then looked for distortion in images so it could represent the look of somebody drunk 

I then thought that i could maybe combine the 2 to form a image 





Using the images of birds i started to think about distortion and what it might look like if somebody who is drunk or cant see properly, fantasising about being free, 'as free as a bird' 

I started to play around with different colours and pixelation of the image to see what it looked like, I wanted to make sure the birds were still obviously birds but also had a pixelation that distorted them a lot.

I think these tie really well into my concept and work well as a square vinyl sleeve.
