Brief 10 YCN Whistles - Visual Research

Research 

Using the 2 companies that Whistles said are doing it well i looked at there bottles to see the kind of aesthetic they were

From looking at these bottles it is clear that they want something that is simple but also different to what is out there already. Something that prises itself on the way it looks and the way in which it is presented in the shop. 



I really like the simplicity of design above, this is something that whistles are looking for with this kind of aesthetic and it is something i can take into my own work. 



I really like how the information has been split upon the bottle below, it is simple but easy to read and understand 


I like the idea of having a pipette like the bottle below, this would then fit in with Whistles idea of having excellent service, the pipette would have an added dimension of excellent service. The pipette lets the customer control how much they want instead of say a spray where there isn't that control. 






Primary Research in the shops






I found these bottles below in the body shop and i think they resemble what whistles are looking for, something elegant and simple. I real like the aesthetic of the male one at the bottom because the liquid inside is used to effect the outside of the bottle. 


The bottle though is quite obviously male which i don't think is something Whistles want, i think because the clothes they have work hand in hand and its so obvious that they are from the same brand that they want this to follow through to the scent, so having something like the vibrant pink and the black together won't work for them.
